Churches Gather for Praise and Thanksgiving
.
The Northern Ohio Pastor’s Association planned an evening of praise and thanksgiving at the Southeast Church in Cleveland, Ohio where Elder Jerome Hurst is the Pastor.  All seven of the Cleveland churches and a few from the surrounding areas joined in worship together to give thanks and show gratitude for blessings received during the year.

The Cleveland pastors have two major emphasis: evangelism and prayer, they have joined with a lay ministry group that has been doing an excellent job coordinating prayer times. The Cleveland Prayer Initiative began one hour before the schedule service for a time of prayer. Members  and friends gathered for this time of teaching and renewal.  One of their teaching moments was each person chose a Fruit of the Spirit (Gal.  5:22,23) and thanked God for the impact it had on their life.  They prayed, individually and in small groups praising God for His provisions, and thanking Him for His blessing and requesting the outpouring of His Spirit.

Following the Spirit filled prayer session, the praise team lead the congregation in songs of praise, adoration and thanksgiving. Area pastors participating in leading out in testimonies,  scripture readings and prayers.

The air was filled with songs of Zion from the featured groups; Westside Youth, Women of Worship
The guest speaker was Elder Allen Baldwin, a native of Cleveland, the pastor of the Ethnan Temple Church in Wilkinsburg, PA. Elder Baldwin,  reminded all in attendance, of the reasons to be thankful, encouraged to have a word of gratefulness always on our lips, and an attitude of graditute in our hearts.
