Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist (Cincinnati) Burns 1.5 Million Dollar Mortgage

Author: Tiffany Forde

On January 13, 2024, Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist Church (Cincinnati) had their mortgage
burning ceremony. This was the culmination of the “No Mo’ In 24” campaign, a one-year faith
walk among the entire congregation as they pledged to enter into 2024 as a debt-free church.
During the year, the Shiloh Pastoral team and Stewardship/Treasury departments gave several
personal testimonies of the goodness of God when remaining faithful to God in every aspect of
our lives including our finances, time, and service to others and to the church. The stewardship
team allowed for various families and individuals within the church to give their testimonies
and experiences with pledging to the mortgage campaign and how embarking on this faith walk
was beneficial to them. Throughout this year long campaign, the members of Shiloh drew
strength and inspiration from each other’s testimonies. Together the Shiloh membership drew
on one singular mission to burn the mortgage and free up additional funds to be used for
ministerial and community projects centered around spreading the gospel to Cincinnati and the
surrounding areas.

To honor this momentous occasion, President Marvin Brown, Chief Financial Officer Keisha
Bone, and Senior Accountant Jasmine Best of the Allegheny West Conference came to celebrate
with the members of Shiloh. President Brown brough a Word from on high and encouraged the
church to remain faithful and stay focused on the Will of God.

Special thanks to our Senior Pastor, Dr. Bryant L. Smith, Associate Pastor, Pace Fordham,
Treasury Department, and Stewardship leader Sis. Kay Tolbert for their vision and excellent
leadership by example. Thanks to our Shiloh members, and friends of the Shiloh SDA Church
community in Cincinnati who contributed and gave unwavering support to our No Mo’ in 24
initiative. Most importantly, all glory belongs to God for allowing Shiloh to achieve this
milestone and go into 2024 debt free!
